17 of the photographs are various images of the Hotel Del Coronado, one is an image of the La Jolla coastline, and one is of a group of ostriches at the corner of Fifth and F Sts. The photogrpahs bear numbers inscribed by the photographer; the last in the sequence is dated 1889. All of the photographs are mounted on cardboard, and many of the mounts are printed with advertisements.
