Abstract:
The collection consists of materials relating to international exhibitions and expositions. The bulk of the materials relate to three expositions held in San Francisco, California: the California Midwinter Fair (1894), the Pan-Pacific International Exposition (1915), and the Golden Gate Inernational Exposition (1939-1940). The collection also includes materials relating to other international expositions held in North America and Europe between 1867 and 1939, including the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago (1893).

The collection consists of materials relating to international exhibitions and expositions. The bulk of the materials relate to three expositions held in San Francisco, California: the California Midwinter Fair (1894), the Pan-Pacific International Exposition (1915), and the Golden Gate Inernational Exposition (1939-1940). The collection also includes materials relating to other international expositions held in North America and Europe between 1867 and 1939, including the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago (1893).

The collection consists primarily of publications, newspaper and magazine clippings, photographs, postcards, illustrations, maps, and ephemera such as tickets, souvenirs, coins, medals, and pins. The collection also includes some memoranda and correspondence relating to the Golden Gate International Exposition and its Pacific House building, and to the 1994 exhibition marking the centennial of the California Midwinter Fair.
