He taught fine press printing and literature at Scripps College. Also included are photocopies of 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th century pamphlets from the collection in the British Library.

Biographical / historical:

Joseph Foster taught at Scripps College as a professor of literature and art from 1946 to 1971 when he retired. He headed the Scripps College Press during that same period.
