Scope and Content
Collection consists of materials relating to the manuscript of William Mathias Lamars' book,
The edge of glory (1961), a biography of Major General William Starke Rosecrans of the Union Army during the American Civil War. Collection
includes the preliminary manuscript, final manuscript, correspondence, research notes, reviews, other printed material, and
microfilm documents.
Expanded Scope and Content
The collection consists of papers relating to Larmars's book,
The Edge of Glory (Harcourt, Brace & World, 1961), a biography of Major General William Starke Rosecrans, commander for the North during the
American Civil War. The collection includes the preliminary manuscript, final transcript, correspondence, research notes,
reviews, and various printed material concerning the Civil War.
