Description of ACCESS from Box 1, Folder 4, pamphlet, "ACCESS, Q: Who Needs It?":
"This exploratory research project is supported by the National Science Foundation and by a number of local organizations and institutions.
"The project is designing and new process for studying regional issues and their long-term consequences. The basic concept is to create a new kind of policy-maker, and citizen’s forum in which advanced communication technology will be used to analyze and communicate information. The purpose is to facilitate people’s access to expert information and to each other concerning it."
