The album was presented to Ella Lyon by her mother on her 16th birthday (1881, Jan. 17). The Lyons lived in Tustin, California.
Materials in the autograph book are from friends and relatives from surrounding Southern California communities, mostly from
Tustin but also from Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Ana.
