Description
The CURE collection contains virtually a complete run of the Board of Directors meeting minutes, and also the Treasurer's Reports. A number of published materials from other organizations are also present.
Background
Citizens United for Racial Equality (CURE) is a non-profit organization established in 1968 for the purpose of improving racial equality and integration in the San Diego area. CURE has been involved in a variety of social programs and political issues that regard racial equality. The organization has also kept close ties with other local and national groups that are concerned with social problems, such as the Anti-Defamation league, Chicano Federation, and the American Civil Liberties Union.
