Background
Since 1996, Uncommon Knowledge has been broadcast as a weekly half-hour television program sponsored by the Hoover Institution and hosted by Research Fellow
Peter Robinson. The program brings together scholars to engage in an in-depth and informed discussion on various aspects of
public policy. It is carried by Public Broadcasting Stations nationwide, broadcast worldwide by National Public Radio, and
posted on the Hoover Institution web site. William F. Buckley, Jr. designated it as the successor to his television program,
Firing Line.

Collection is open for research.
Access to audiovisual materials requires at least two weeks advance notice. Audiovisual
materials include sound recordings, video recordings, and motion picture film.
