Scope and Content Note

This series contains photographs of architects Whitney Smith and John Carl Warnecke, as well as, photographs of Balch, Browning, and Toll dormitories. The photographs of the dormitories document different stages of construction between 1927 and 1930. This series includes both negatives and photographs.

Of particular interest are the daily construction records written by supervising Engineer Harlan Edwards, which are located within each sub-series.
