Description
This collections contains correspondence letters and newspaper clippings. He was an engineer who worked with South African mining companies.
Background
William L. Honnold, a mining engineer who spent many years in the gold mines of South Africa, became the assistant of Herbert Hoover in administering relief to the sufferers in Belgium and later came to New York where he became head of the American Board of Relief.
