as their newsletter, from 1958 to their dissolution in 2008.

Scope and Content of Collection
From their mission statement:
"The Friends of the UCSB Library, founded in 1963, is dedicated to stimulating growth in library resources and facilities
for the 21st century. The Friends seek to heighten community and alumni interest in the UCSB Libraries and to support academic
programs at the University of California Santa Barbara by funding library collections and facilities."
The Friends of the UCSB Library were dissolved in 2008.
The collection is organized into five series:
Series I, Chronological files, contains administrative and subject files arranged by year.
Series II, Finances, contains annual reports and various other files on the Friends' income, tax, trusts, etc.
Series III, Newsletters, contains the Friends' newsletter arranged chronologically.
Series IV, Special Events, contains files on special library events sponsored and/or organized by the Friends.
Series V, Audio, contains three audiotapes of Friends of the UCSB Library sponsored events.
