Abstract: Collection compiled by Mark H. Capelli, National Marine Fisheries Service biologist and Executive Director of the Friends
of the Ventura River. The bulk of the collection pertains to organizations and issues focusing on the southern California
steelhead trout population, primarily in Ventura County and, to a lesser extent, in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties.

History / Biography
This collection was compiled by Mark H. Capelli, National Marine Fisheries Service biologist and Executive Director of the
Friends of the Ventura River.
Scope and Content of Collection
The bulk of the collection pertains to organizations and issues focusing on the southern California steelhead trout population,
primarily in Ventura County and, to a lesser extent, in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties. Environmental Impact Reports
(EIRs) and other major printed reports, etc. have been transferred to the Government Information Center, in the Davidson Library
at UCSB, are cataloged separately, and can be searched on Pegasus, the UCSB Libraries online catalog.
