The Brisbane Library History Collection includes images of historical interest to Brisbane, San Francisco and San Mateo County.
The collection includes images from the mid-1800s to the present, with the majority of the images from the 1900s to the 1980s.
These images document commercial, residential and public buildings (such as Brisbane Elementary School), San Bruno Mountain,
historic and annual events (notably the Fourth of July celebrations and the Western Days parade), street scenes, small town
life, group and family portraits, and significant individuals. The collection illustrates the diverse nature of Brisbane residents
and records the changes that have taken place in the community.
