Biographical/Historical Sketch
Daniel Mazia, cell biologist, was professor emeritus at Stanford University's Hopkins
Marine Station at the time of his death in 1996. He earned his Ph.D. at the University
of Pennsylvania in 1937. He taught at the University of Missouri (1938-50) and UC
Berkeley (1951-79) before joining Stanford's faculty. He was a member of the National
Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Description of the Collection
Papers include correspondence, research notes, organizational files (including the
International Cell Research Organization), course files, publications and reprints,
photographs, and videotapes.
