Description
This collection consists of historic and administrative records, posters, videotapes, and slides.
Background
The Sacramento-Emigrant Trails Chapter of the American Lung Association originally formed in 1917 as the Sacramento Society for the Preservation and Cure of Tuberculosis. The chapter promotes public educational outreach and health services regarding respiratory diseases. Tobacco use awareness and smoking cessation comprise a cornerstone of the association's public health programs.1917 - Breathe California of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails was founded in Sacramento.
