Biographical / historical:

Organized in 1969, the UCLA Committee for the University in for Future (CUF) had over 400 "moderate" faculty concerned about the increased politicalization of the university's administrative process and policies including faculty tenure, faculty hiring, and "radical" faculty involvement and support of student campus protests.
