Contents include incoming letters and copybooks or outgoing letters; reports and documents of committees; records and press
clippings; and annotated copies of the STANFORD REGISTER, 1948-1955. Correspondents include university presidents and other
administrators, faculty, trustees, alumni, students. Subjects range from minor questions of administrative procedure to class
registration and certification of credits, university finance and academic policy, cheating, limitation of enrollment, admissions
for women, and changes in the major subject system.
