Nancy Lee Ruyter is a dance historian, choreographer, and professor at the University of California, Irvine. This collection comprises research materials gathered by Ruyter while writing Reformers and Visionaries: The Americanization of the Art of Dance (1979) and The Cultivation of Body and Mind in 19th-Century American Delsartism (1999).
