Scope and Content Note

After Dr. Knudsen's retirement, correspondence and papers were accumulated chronologically. The greater part still concerned university matters, especially of an honorary nature. There was a greater diversity, however, and much of the material indicated a renewed concern with technical research and with a variety of other causes and personal interest. Note that post-1961 correspondence with individuals, including Isaac Stern, can be found in "Correspondence and Papers (Alphabetical by subject or name) 1920s-1969.
