Description
Scrapbook largely contains clippings on various aspects of
Stanford University's first three years - academic life, faculty, lectures given,
athletics, campus construction, club activities, concerts, and Benjamin Harrison's
visit. There are also a few clippings of articles by Ambrose Bierce, a few newspaper
facsimiles of autographs and historic letters, and one photograph of Charles B.
Henderson who attended Stanford 1892-93.
Background
William W. Guth earned his A.B. in history at Stanford University in 1895; he was active
in the Press Club and worked on the student magazine The Sequoia.
