Dr. Louis A. Gottschalk is an internationally known pioneer in the neurosciences. He joined the University of California,
Irvine in 1967 as founding chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. He became Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry
and Human Behavior in the College of Medicine in 1988.
