Biographical/Historical Sketch
In 2008 Senators Max Baucus and Charles Grassley of the Committee on Finance asked wealthy colleges to provide information
on student aid, tuition increases, and endowment spending over the last 10 years as part of the Committee's investigation
of endowments and financial aid for students.
Included in the collection are a copy of the University's answer to Senators Baucus and Grassley's request, a copy of President
Hennessy's cover letter, and several printouts of Internet articles as background on the investigation.
