Description
The collection consists of newsletters, reports, subject files, publications, and correspondence relating to Ed Silverbrand's "Silver File" reports and "Update on State Legislation" newsletters.
Background
Ed Silverbrand was a Sacramento lobbyist who represented various school districts throughout California. Born April 16, 1912, Ed eventually became a pilot in the Army Air Corps who trained other pilots in ground school. After receiving an honorable discharge, he became an elementary school principal from 1947 to 1967. Later, he went on to become a legislative advocate for the California Council of Adult Education.
