Collection consists of excerpts from his letters to his family written during the time he was in Germany as part of Stanford's Overseas program (Germany Group I), with some commentary and photographs added in 2008-09.

Francis J. Stillman earned his AB in English at Stanford University in 1960 and his JD in 1964.
