This is a silkscreen poster depicting the night life of farmers. There are black and white colored farmers in the foreground dancing, and one is playing the flute. They are set under a black night sky with a blue and teal shooting star. Also in the sky are the sun, the moon, a bird, different galaxies, and several of the astrological constellations. The text at the top reads, "El Teatro Campesino", and the text at the bottom reads, "La Pastorela. San Juan Bautista 1989" There is also a three colored border with purple, teal, and baige.

This poster is a silkscreen announcement poster for a film festival held by Mecha at California State University, Bakersfield on November 19, 1988. The center of the poster consists of a brown image of a man and woman embracing, in the background a skeleton plays a guitar. The center image is bordered on all sides with Aztec symbols. The poster announces three films played at the festival by Luis Valdez, "El Corrido," "Zoot Suit," and "El Teatro Campesino (The first 25 years, Evolution of America's First Chicano Theatre Company."

Description/Comments

This is an offset poster for the play "Dog Lady" held on August 20, 1988 at El Teatro Campesino. On the top of the poster it reads, "A benefit showing for the United Foods Cannery Workers of Salinas and Modesto Locals 890 and 748 who were on strike for over a year." The poster depicts an orange image of a woman and two dogs running, with a burgundy background. The ground is painted black with a shadow of one dog painted white. On the bottom of the poster it reads, "A one-act play about an East Los Angeles Chicana who struggles to run the marathon with the support of her community."

San Francisco's Pickle Family Circus is an offset poster for a circus held on August 2nd, and 3rd at the San Juan Mission Plaza. The circus was sponsored by San Juan Pre-School and S.J Coop, in cooperation with Teatro Campesino and S.J Chamber of Commerce. The poster has a red background, and the center image consists of circus performers in red, orange, blue, gray, and white.

The Day of the Dead Announcement poster held on November 5th 1978. Includes schedule of events in center of poster, and reads, "11:30 Evergreen Cemetery, 1:30 Parade, 2:00 Entertainment, 6:00 Candle light parade, at 7:00 Roosevelt High" Center image is of a skeleton figure, and on the pelvis of the skeleton it states, "El Fin del Mundo." Announcement poster for Daniel Valdez's concert held on October 2, 1975. Poster reads, "The music of Daniel Valdez is a simple and distinctive blend of Indio-Hispanic and North American Influences." Poster contains an image of three faces combined by one necklace, flowing into one long body. The background is brown, and the faces are white, tan, green, and red.
