    Historical Note

    Since its inception in 1959 the Center for Oral History Research - formerly known as the Oral History Program - has received a number of donated interviews. In some instances these interviews have been transcribed but not edited; in other cases they remain as audiotape recordings. All materials are available to researchers. However, donor agreements (or lack therof) for some interviews may preclude copying or quotation.
    Further information about the donated oral history interviews can be obtained through the Center for Oral History Research offices.

    Scope and Content

    Record Series 779 contains oral history transcripts and audio recordings donated to UCLA's Center for Oral History Research, and interviews from the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History (CIJOH), many of which are in Farsi.
    CRITERIA for donated interviews to the UCLA Center for Oral History Research:

    - interviews must deal with topics of general historical significance in support of UCLA Library collections

    - interviews must be accompanied by appropriate permissions and legal agreements
    NOTE: English language keyword content descriptions are available for the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History transcripts located in boxes 10-12. However, the English language descriptions not included in the online finding aid.
    This is an inactive record series; no additional University records are expected to be added.
    The collection is organized into the following series:
