Biographical/Historical Sketch
The Stanford Consultation Services, under the direction of Education Professor Robert N.
Bush, conducted case studies of teachers and administrators in selected school systems
in California, Colorado, Washington, and Australia. Evaluation and rating forms were
filled out by students and colleagues of the individual being studied.
These records, dating from 1949 to 1956, were received as part of Robert N. Bush's
papers but have been catalogued separately. Due to their large volume, the records were
sampled in the following manner. Three separate cases representing different school ages
were kept in their entirety: Alameda High School, Alameda, CA (case 60T); MR Trace
Elementary School, San Jose, CA (case 79.2T); and Jordan Jr. High School, Palo Alto, CA
(case 88T). Summary folders from all remaining cases were kept as well as all general
administrative files.
