brochures and catalogs from Minneapolis based Directory Services Inc. (DSI), one of the few publishers to challenge the constitutionality
of laws prohibiting the display of frontal male nudes.

Scope and Content of Collection
The Fred K. collection of gay male erotica contains bulletins and brochures from Guild Book Service, a pioneer gay book distributor;
brochures and catalogs from Minneapolis based Directory Services Inc. (DSI), one of the few publishers to challenge the constitutionality
of laws prohibiting the display of frontal male nudes; brochures advertising magazines with depictions of male nudes or gay
male sex; indexes; and clippings. Also included in this collection is Mr. K's detailed personal indices of male nude magazines.
