    Collection Description: The Tau Alpha Chi chapter at Cal Poly Pomona was established in 1994 and dissolved in 2004. Originally founded in 1983 at Georgia State University, the membership of the Fraternity is open to undergraduate, graduate, and law students with the common interest in the field of taxation. The fraternity also sponsored the National Tax Paper competition and won 6 years in a row from 1994 to 2000. As part of their commitment to serve the community, members went to local high schools to teach students how to fill a 1040 Federal Tax Return, the club was also involved in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program to help students, low-income and the elderly to help complete their tax forms.
