Description
Edward Biffer Roessler (1902-1993) served as Professor Mathematics at the University of California, Davis. This small collection contains his textbook, Problems in Agricultural Mathematics, lecture notes and reprints of his articles which focus on the statistical analysis of viticultural data.
Background
Edward Biffer Roessler was born in Redlands, California, on August 28, 1902. He graduated from Hollywood High School, attended the University of California, Los Angeles for his first two years, and transferred to UC Berkeley, where he earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics, specializing in geometry.
