Abstract: Robert Asa Condee (1875-1930) served as the President of the California State Agricultural Society from 1925-1930. This small
collection contains Condee's incoming and outgoing correspondence, the majority of which deals with Condee's work for the
State Agricultural Society.

Robert Asa Condee was born on December 25, 1875 in San Diego, California. Condee's career included: rancher in Southern California
(1892-1896), Clerk of the Board of Supervisors (1897-1900), Horticulture Inspector (1901-1902), Agricultural Adviser in Riverside
County (1903-1913), Superintendent of Agriculture and Director of Education at the California Junior Republic in Chino (1914-1918),
and principal of Chino Vocational High School.
Condee served as President of the California State Agricultural Society from 1925-1930. In that capacity he also served as
an ex officio Regent of the University of California. He was also a member of the Agricultural Committee of the California
State Fair, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and a Director of the California State Chamber of Commerce.
Condee passed away on October 4, 1930 in Pomona, California.
