In 1983, the National Endowment for the Humanities awarded a project grant focusing on the diverse Indochinese peoples and cultures of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The Sonoma State University Library and Extended Education Program worked together on the project, which included organizing five conferences in Northern California and a photograph collection.
