This collection, Logbooks, 1799-1883, contains six logbooks, a remembrance card and two leaves from The Art Journal. Named vessels in the logbooks include MODOC, ROCKHAMPTON, ST. Primary vessels named and dates of each log are as follows in chronological order: RESOURCE, 1799-1800; GEORGE OF PROVIDENCE, 1824-1829; ST. PAUL, 1854-1966; ROCKHAMPTON, 1867-1878; seven leaves labeled balance sheets for F.L.SOUTHBACHS, 1879; and MODOC, 1881-1883. Most of the logbooks have entries for voyages on other vessels. The logbooks for GEORGE OF PROVIDENCE, ST. PAUL, ROCKHAMPTON AND F.L. SOUTHBACHS were recorded by Walter Andrew Christianson, whose remarks and index sections in the logs add interest to content.
