The Charles H. Richardson field notes consists of two bound volumes spanning the years 1908-1911. Originally maintained by
the author in three-ring field note binders, the notes were later removed and bound chronologically. The notes include journal
entries and catalogs from localities within California. Volume 2 contains specimen and habitat sketches.
Charles H. Richardson was born in Pasadena, California on July 7, 1887. He completed his A.B. in Zoology at Stanford, and
his M.S. in Entomology at Harvard University. While Richardson was a student at Stanford, he assisted in MVZ collecting trips
throughout California. He accompanied Walter P. Taylor's collecting trip in Nevada in 1909.
