Description
Contains one 41 page abstract of title, covering the time period 1865 to 1899. Block 8 is located in downtown Chico, between
Broadway and Main and directly south of 2nd Street. The abstract was requested by W.J. Costar. H.D. Lausen was the abstractor.
Background
John Bidwell originally possessed block 8 of downtown Chico (California) as a part of the Arroyo Rancho grant. In 1865, he
deeded lot 3 of block 8 to G.C. Hewbach.
