Scope and content:

Interviews of political leaders, dissidents and others, mainly relating to political and social conditions in Poland, other countries of Eastern Europe, and post-Soviet Russia. Many of the interviews from the late 1980s and early 1990s were used not only for Newsweek stories but also for Nagorski's book, The Birth of Freedom (1993).
