Bidwell Orange Tree at Bidwell Bar, Butte County. The attached photograph was sent to the writer by Dan L. Beebe, Publisher
of the Oroville Mercury, on October 21, 1943. The Bidwell orange is generally believed to be the first orange tree planted
in Northern California and it is still standing. On the left is seen the Bidwell Bar Bridge over Feather River.
