[illegible] was in hopes that I should receive my furlough in time to start today but did not get it until 9 in the evening,
all of the [illegible] by wounded were transfered today to New York City received letter from home. Where I hope to carry
my own self as an answer tomorrow how good home will seem.
<June, with its roses,-June!- The gladdest month of the capricious year,- with its thick foliage, and its sunlight clear,-
and with a drowsy tune- of the bright, leaping waters, as they pass- laughingly on amid the springing grass.>

am arrived in [illegible] of 12 M. had to remain there until 3 PM arrived in Harrisburgh at 6PM and had to remain there until
nearly 2 o'clock in the morning. [Crossed out text] Feel unsually warm my shoulder very painful no use [illegible] put up
the [illegible] Hotel [illegible] [illegible] hope soon to be once more at home from which I have been about over 12 months
