Very pleasant day out on a [illegible] visited a friend H. Sperry at the Hospital. Also visited Dr. Munson the elective for
Pennsylvania and Ohio comes off today. In the evening wrote letter to Judie no news from home.
Pleasant but cold day, received a pass well spent 4 hours, with Library of the Captiol reading and examining an engraving
work on Pompeii. 3 Vols also examined sketches in Naples a [inelligible] splendid work of [inelligible] illustrations. No
news from home. Wrote to my Judie, also to Col. Palmes.
